Registration Procedures for 2008 VA District AAU Qualifying Tournaments

You must follow the following procedures to ensure that you get into the Virginia District (Division I State or Division II Regional and in some case Division II State) tournaments!!!!

PLEASE PROCEED WITH THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM FOR 2008 VA DISTRICT AAU QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS

Step 1:  Provide me your team AAU fee ($120) and a roster (see attached) to obtain your player AAU Cards.  I'll email Coach/Manager copies of the AAU Registration cards for all your players. (For teams that have already done this....your are ready to begin the next steps)

PLEASE DO NOT OBTAIN AAU CARDS FOR ANY PLAYERS - again this is already covered by each player when you turned in their AAU Fee ($120).

Step 2:   Coach/Manager must go to the AAU National Web Site http://www.aausports.org/default.asp?a=pg_membership.htm

and obtain AAU cards for all Coaches and NON-ATHLETE  (example: Administrator, Bench Personnel, Coach, Instructor, Manager, Official, Team Leader, Tournament Director, Volunteer, Other) for your team.  This is obtaining the 2008 AAU registration card for Coaches.

Step 3:  Go to the AAU National Boys Basketball Web Site http://www.aauboysbasketball.org/blue/index.asp?a=pg_newroster3.html

Establish a user ID and password and follow the instructions on completing the player and coaches’ roster forms.  This will enter your rosters. 

Step 4:  Print a copy of your online roster for your file and fax (703-697-6172) or email me a copy on or before the deadline listed below.  YOU MUST INDICATE WHAT TOURNAMENT (DIVISION I or DIVISION II) YOU WANT TO ENTER!!

Step 5:  Go to the Virginia Basketball Web Site http://www.vaaaubb.net/ent_boys.html and print off a copy of the entry packet for your records. 

Step 6.  I WILL HANDLE THE REST OF THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS...LISTED BELOW:

a.  complete the entry form.  E-mail a copy of the entry form to bwoleslagle@verizon.net. 

b.  Mail a copy of the entry form and your check made payable to VA Boys and Girls AAU Basketball to:

          Bill Woleslagle
          12915 Cohasset Lane
          Woodbridge, VA 22192

This will complete your entry in the District 2008 qualifying tournament.

NOTE:  Remember for 2008 it is the responsibility of each coach to bring with them copies of birth certificates, age/grade exception forms, medical release forms, and ethic forms.  If you have a player that is challenged and you cannot produce a birth certificate, your team will be forfeited from the tournament.  This can occur up to and including the championship game.  To obtain copies of all forms go to website: http://www.vaaaubb.net/forms.html
